Bought a new A Class Sept last year ( 1.6 Petrol ). Whats the service interval. We drive it mixed use and not hard but only got 15000 miles first time and now it has 25000 miles total and is due again according to the computer.

The service interval is adaptive but to be honest you did exceptionally well to get to 15,000 miles! circa 10,000 is the norm to be honest.

On my parent A180CDi it is nominally 15000 miles, however theirs times out after a year.

Don't forget, if you exceed the mileage or time period stated by MB, your Mobilo warranty will be void.

only until you get service done, then you auto re-join.

We get about 18-months between services on the A150, but it only does about 5k miles per annum. Just go by what the ASSYST system tells you on the screen, but IIRC they changed the intervals around 2007/ 2008 time.

Thanks for the replies, its just that the Porsche does 20,000 miles.

I don't fully understand the mobilo thing, is it like the Porsche Extended Warranty, ie covers all not wearable items, or is it just parts or labour or recovery.

We get poor MPG, on the motorway at 75MPH it gives 34 MPG, is this usual ?

Thinking of a diesel one next time, anyone got an idea of how good/bad it is on fuel ?

We have a A200 cdi avant-garde se. 06/06. The best car I've driven. It's roomy, comfortable, quick, economical, reliable, and now rust free. (4doors and a tailgate replaced) On a run at around 75-80 mph expect around 52 mpg and a range of 550-600 miles. Most cars that I've seen are either basic spec or well stocked. Mine has nav, louvre roof, heated electric leather seats, park sensors, harmon kardon stereo upgrade. Great car... Go find one.
