Stunning - absolutely, brillantly, magnificently stunning.

It brings a tear to my eye watching these, not only because I'm staunchly proud to be associated with this championship and all of those in it, but because these two short, superbly-crafted films sum it all up in dramatic fashion.

At the Britcar Awards Dinner, Gino Ussi made a short speech that empathised with the lot of a driver on race day; well, here, I'll just allude to the lot of the media - when raceday is over, our job is only half done - we've got to write-up reports, download and sort photographs, and, in Darren's case, spend hours upon hours upon hours editing, to get that five-minute masterpiece.

Raise a glass to the media - and to Darren particularly.

(Darren - is that good enough? Newport Pagnell Services, northbound, usual table in Costa - have the envelope ready).

Cheers Steve, I think the envelope will have to be considerably larger after that glowing reply. Many thanks Fella.

two excellent videos there. I hope to be part of the series next year as a mechanic for a team and a friend as a driver.

Thanks very much J, I am already looking forward to the start of next season. It will be interesting to read some replies to Rods post to see who is doing what, though I fear it maybe to early for people to confirm plans for 2011.
Its a shame that you say farewell to the 996 which was a great car, but the Mosler will be a new challenge for the team and with Neil's faultless support you must be a contender for the overall title next season.

Now look Darren, these boys are good, no doubt about it, first in class and third overall is a great result for them, quite similar to ours really but , not quite nuts However, two factors come into play, firstly, we taught them all they know, but not all we know, and secondly, we were not about in 2010 to keep them honest hehe 2011 will be a much greater test of their fiery Spanish flare when we are back in the game bouncedriving

They may be our firm friends and teammates but being Spanish, they do tend to get rather enthusiastic, I mean they were actually practicing driver changes the other day and spend hours and hours looking at performance traces etc and worst still, when we shared their car in the 24hrs they banned me from smoking in the car !!! what next I ask !!! hehebouncesmokin

Rod, As always mate it is a pleasure to have you back on this blog on a more regular basis, your wit and banter always bring a smile to my face. Its nice to see that a 997 is going to be on the grid.
I would like to focus some of the TV coverage on the different marques and explore their handling characteristics layout, power plants to give the viewer a better insight into the cars in the races.

Jan and I are looking into fitting an in car camera etc, one of the teams at the 24 had live streaming, if that's the right terminology, direct to the garage and that appeals. Trouble is that I have no idea how it all works and what it may cost to set up so any help in that direction would be much appreciated

I cant agree more... The biggest help we had from you was to get to understand how Snett should be treated... I still remember how difficult was that to translate to Manuel...

Tell Manuel that Snett is shaped like "un pene" so the best person to ask about how to deal with it is your wife or girlfriend, she'll say run hard and fast down the straights, be very sensitive at the top end otherwise you will come off prematurely hehenuts

Do you guys need any snow down in Madrid, we have lots of it and would be pleased to pass some on !!!
