Due to be doing the above today..... Anyone know what the roads are like ?

Traffic Scotland doesnt say much, Northsound warns of black ice and not to make journeys if you dont have to etc...

The roads between Laurencekirk and Aberdeen were fine last night and we've not had much snow overnight so should be ok. Not sure how they are further south.

Glad I didnt go up in the end. Friends of the GF's family who travelled up late last week tried to return home today...... Dyce to Dundee.... 5 and a half hours! Think they have now abandoned their trek and are staying with friends.

I see the A90 is closed at Forfar and folk are being diverted down the A92 now.

Seems the northern part of the Central Belt so to speak is getting it really bad.

Three, maybe four inches here in Dunfermline.

It took me 7 and a half hours to get from Glasgow to Montrose today, that was going via Edinburgh as the a9 was shut. Round perth was terrible, we were stopped for at least two hours around junction 8 of the m90 then stopped at various points until Dundee. The a90 was closed so we came up the a92 which seems in decent condition.

Traffic heading south looked a lot worse.

Really, must be worse outside of aberdeen city because city centre is fine and ive just been to BOD and back and it was fine too, just really wet roads awith all the snow piled to the sides. Side streets are stil a bit of a shambles like though
