How long will it take a competent indie mechanic to change those on a Z4?

Too many variables.

Not all competent mechanics are quick, not all are competent...

How corroded is the underside of the car?

How bksed are the bolts?

Could be 2 hours, could be 4; ask at a garage once they have actually seen the car.
