Looking to join a kit car club to get a discount on insurance. I'd prefer a non-model specific one if possible as the car in question is a Toniq-R

Cheers

Apparently you get a Adrian Flux discount for being a member of PH. 15% i think, although this is relatively difficult to prove.

The CSC that i am a member of offer 15% too, only the club actually gets subsidised by Footman James, so that is nice to know. However, its very donor associated unfortunatley. Not very much help i know, but if you havent tried the PH discount, it might be worth a try, just to see the price. Have you not got insurance sorted for your car collection then?

Actually got the quote sorted, the bloke on the phone said if I was planning on joining a club to which I replied yes, but I'm finding it harder to do than I thought hehe

It's obviously not just for the discount, a vast pool of knowledge is obviously helpful. Already joined the locost forum, but not sure if that would count scratchchin

Oh yeah, the car was supposed to be here today but weather and the poor delivery bloke getting screwed around by another customer means that I won't get it until Wednesday. The snow is pretty thick here too... should be fun hehe

You don't need to own a Westfield to join the WSSC. AFAIK.

I think it may have refferred to the fact that within kit car clubs there are a lot of people who are quite, erm... how can i put this without being flamed too much....

anal?

....the fact that everyone talks about pistons, cranks, intakes, gear shift lights, chassis', suspension set up and brake bias etc etc etc....

This is the whole point of kit car clubs though, compare, contrast and have a blast. For outsiders, i imagine it seems a bit wierd, but i like talking about mechanics and designs of kits and componants, especially an ingenious bodge.

Still... It's better that being in the MX5 club where you have to talk about hair products and the like....getmecoat

Talking about Beer and tits are quite top of the agenda in team GTM and the JPSC. Far, far, far worse with SouthernKitCars. It could just be me of course.... ;-) And Ferg.
