I hire cars about 4 or 5 times a year, whilst I might not treat them as well as I would my own car wink, I certainly don't abuse them like this;

The companies must expect some level of abuse but this does take the piss!!

Could be fun though scratchchinwink

That's appalling. I drive hire cars the same way I drive my own; if that's considered abusive then so be it.

That goes beyond abuse.

A total lack of respect / mechanical sympathy.

Don't see the point..

I suppose it's because they can.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should....

Hmm...the reg number clearly visible, and where the crime is committed is also clearly visible. I hope whichever hire car company owns that car sees this and does something suitable. Moron.

What was he trying to demonstrate by that type of driving any knob could drive like that there was no skill to it.
The hire companys wouldnt do anything about it anyway if you brought it to there attention,even too late to hold his deposit off him.

KV10 VNO. The idiot was even stupid enough to capture the sign where the abuse took place (Stanton Ironworks, Derbyshire - Flange Pipe Plant).

Morons like this are the reason why insurance premiums are rising.

Original one I thought was quite clever with Clarksons voice-over, but totally appalling treating any car like this.

Looks like an avis car.

The shot at the start giving the mileage will also help to incriminate him.

Once the hire company are aware of the video (tomorrow) they will circulate his details round other hire companies. He'll struggle to hire again, which will catch up with him when he needs it most.

His face is clearly visible at 32 secs. What an utter . Someone else will pick up the bill for any mechanical failure that's been intruduced by him. Lets hope it's not a family of four who hire it after and have a tyre give out on them.
