I don't know whether the paint is soft/med/hard?

I'm tempted to ask for a DA for Xmas from the OH, and i4detailing on DW seem to be amongst the cheapest: http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Kestrel_DAS-... minus the DW discount of course.

What would people recommend?

If your going for a DAS go for the one at www.cleanyourcar.co.uk

"DAS-6 PRO" has the 850w motor which has the extra grunt, better torque at lower speed setting.

Failing that knock yourself out with a rotary.

I believe TVR paint is in the hard category, so you proberly won't get much correction unless you have alot of patience. When my rotary died, I had no choice but to correct my c32 with a d.a. If im right, mercedes and tvr are pretty much as hard as each other, and it took my 65 hours in labour just machine polishing. Its a killer, but will work.

Matt as Dave suggested I would go for the DAS Pro if you have no experience with a rotary, ideal kit here http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/d... Take your time and the effort will be very rewarding

Few threads of some detailed TVR's for a bit of inspiration smile

After speaking to Matt at i4detailing, he recommended the Megs 1 kit:

http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalog/Kestrel_DAS-...

So have decided to go for that, yes the Pro would be better, but I'm not buying it, so am budget limited.
