Just thought that I would say hi and introduce myself. Through all of the positive posts on here about Chimaera ownership there is no doubt in my mind as soon as I can afford it I will go for a 400 or 450 to use everyday. (I'd love the 500 but I thought it might be a bit thirsty day to day...
)
Should be around August / September....
Anyway, hope to have something to contribute about TVR ownership soon.

Take a look at a few examples,pick a re-saleble paint/trim ,stick to a 4.0 /4.5 as ther'e more suited to every day use, dont track it (things 'il wear out and it 'il be hard to sell on ), dont modify it,or the insurance will be affected etc etc etc..........
Or
Buy the first one you see , in a colour that took the dealer 12 months to off-load
, make sure its the f
ck off 5.0 litre , carry out numerous mods to enhance the allready violent performance,average one track day a month over 2years ,spend cubic amounts of money on it (which you'll NEVER get back) ,be Scared/Exhilarated every time you drive it.........

On a serious note if I change the dash or put a few Leven bits etc etc on the inside only will that hit my insurance premium as well. Or is it only exterior and engine mods which will increase the size of my already substantial quote.
Dont KNOW for sure,but i'd never have thought interior cosmetics are going to make a difference - maybe other PH ers could tell us?.
Roll bars,engine chips,suspension,brake mods etc will have an effect.

Well GOD BE PRAISED! I have seeeeeeeeEEEEeeeennn the light and our God is an awesome God who sent a little angel to sit on my shoulder and mutter in my ear that I really didn't want that Cosmos Blue Chim, and I actually was predestined by the Hoooooooly Spiritttttt to buy the one in Starmist Blue with Biscuit leather.....

Only get blue if you want a slow one. Green is by far the fastest colour...

With Magnolia hide, the go even faster. Much quicker than the green ones, of course

would my Mauritius blue be acceptable?????
I'm quite happy with green. More cultured, distinctive and quicker as it's a lighter paint than blue. Blue, especially startmis must add a good 50kg to the car, plus I've heard the paint fumes reduce the BHP figure even more
Must agree about the biscuit hide though. It's a might lighter colour than some of the darker ones, and we all know lighter means less heavy...
