I never frequent this part of PH, I'm not fortunate enough to have a F car as yet.

Anyhow, I'm in Dubai and have just walked on to the street to see a police car with it's lights on followed by somewhere between 80 and 100 Ferraris. The sound was amazing. I have no idea what that was all about but it has made my day.

Must save harder.

That makes sense. I was on a business call at the time so couldn't really take my BlackBerry from my ear. I did think about videoing the event.

Silverstone Ferrari fest in 2007 surely? They had about 3,000 on track at once.

Wow thats alot!, i was about to suggest that street on google maps where the google car turned a corner and came face to face with (i believe, may have imagined it actually) a few hundred ferrari's.

I'm not sure how many cars, but they also set a record for the greatest number of F40s on track at once. Was an excellent day, though seeing Irvine Laidlaw's 312PB racing was the best bit by far.

I was at 'the start'

I can confirm that they were all driving down to the opening of Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi as someone has said.

I happened to be staying in "The Meydan" hotel at the new race course for a conference, woke up one morning and there were 140 Ferraris parked outside my balcony.

Mainly all recents - pretty much every possible variant of 458, 599, 360, 430, California, 612, plus the odd 355 and a 308. There were some rather nice exotics there too, such as a Mansory Stallone 599 and a Gemballa Mig-U1 Enzo.

Interestingly one of them caught fire in a big way just pootling up to park, but it was on the other side of the track so never found out what it was, but have some pictures of smoke - probably another 458 Italia.

I took some shots on my iPhone, when I work out how to post them I will - even videoed them all going past, took 10 mins.

I'd rather have the F355 spider in the background than that monstrosity of a 599.

Knowing how touchy Ferrari are I'm surprised they allow modified cars to take part in official events although money talks I suppose...
