I really, really wish the forum had an "ignore poster" option, because a good percentage of the people in that thread would no longer be polluting my browser.

There really is a nasty undercurrent that crops up on this site from time to time. Seems there are a lot of people who jump at any opportunity to stick the boot in, in the name of 'just a bit of a laugh', but most of the time it isn't very funny and is pretty unnecessary.
It's a shame that some people seem to be unable to moderate what they say, as though the internet gives them carte blanche to say what they want. I'd hazard a guess that most of these people wouldn't be quite so forthcoming in a face to face meeting.

Although I'm not one for censorship generally this is a privately owned website so the PH mods are Gods here.
Perhaps reduce the thread to just the entries made by the original poster and JP and then lock it for posterity (and this years PH mag)
Sure it would upset hundreds of other posters who may or may not be knobs but at least there wouldn't be a requirement to try and filter good posters from bad.

100% agree. The mania for 'outing' people's identities by posting links to Facebook and posting their workplaces/photos etc. is pretty creepy and stalkerish. It's a shame that some people seem to be unable to moderate what they say, as though the internet gives them carte blanche to say what they want. It seems that a couple of trolling idiots have been outed in the past and now everyone seems to think they're MI5.
The OP in the Jason Plato thread got far more abuse than was warranted, IMO.

Why?It was funny to start with but then it turned into another PH OP beating thread. When addresses etc start getting posted up enough is enough. Top marks to the OP for admitting he was at error and JP for his several contributions.
