As title, assuming it's been cut down in the previous few days, is stood in water and in a front room, so a constant temperature of around 20*C?

Just wondering if it's a bit early to pick one up this weekend?

If it has no roots, way too early, especially at 20C!

Best way is to have a rooted one in soil.

There's a Christmas tree plantation down the road to us - the trees were cut at the beginning of November!!

If you want a good shaped one then buy it this weekend, as has been said they were cut down a while ago. The trick is not to bring it in till about 7-10 days before 25th. Leave it outside somwhere sheltered and perhaps in its stand so that all you have to do is bring it in and take off the net. He who snoozes loses! Oh and make sure you cut a little bit off the bottom to help uptake of water once inside and remember to water it.
