HELP Please

Hi All,

I have huge problem. My Cerb. has been garaged for more than 6 months. Before I left it I unlocked the bonnet to get access to the battery, just in case it ran flat.
The battery actually did go flat, and I had to recharge the battery. After 10 min. the battery had just enough juice to unlock the car (using the remote)and open the door. As the battery did not have enough power to start the car I locked the car and left.

The next day the remote did not work. I have changed the battery in the remote but it still doesn't work and now I cannot unlock the car and cannot get into the car to use the key-immobilsor. Do you think it is a fuse, the remote control or something else?

I saw somewhere someone wrote that the remote could be "reset" or "re-aligned" with the car. Do anybody now how to do that?
I would also like to check the fuse box, but I cannot get into the boot. Do anybody know how I can open the boot with out breaking the rearlight?

If you only charged the battery for 10 mins, the main battery is probably too flat again to power the alarm to unlock the car the next day. 10 mins is no time at all, if you still had the charger connected when you unlocked it was most likely the charger providing the power to unlock. Try charging the battery for 24 hours.

Try disconnecting the battery, leave for 1 minute then reconnect. Should reset the remote control.

Cant really email you the secret way in as dont recognise who you are. Try speaking with your servicing agent or get to a local meet?

Look on this site for alarm info. Afaik the reset type function is for synching additional fobs. I guess this might help, not sure of the above link explains but I think it will somewhere!

I have read a lot about synching Cerb Fobs on here but have never had to do it (or had any probs).

When you resupply the power to the system the windows will close and restrict access.

As said above, put your battery on charge for at least 12 hours -malthough if you've got deposits on your battery plates you may have to replace the whole bettery anyway (as I did).

Six months is a criminal amount of time to let a Cerb go un-run. You're a very naughty boy

Hi Thanks for all the comments.

I properly didn't explain myself good enough. I did leave the charger on over night and the battery has fully charged in the morning, the car just did not respond to the remote.

The good news is that I tried to disconnect the batt. for 1 min. and then reconnected it again and now the remote WORKS.

to re-sync the fob hold the button for a few seconds, there will be some light flahsing and some chirping to acknowledge the sync, then all should work. if not, new battery and repeat process or seek proffesional advice.

make sure the battery is not dud altogether if you have a another batt lying around with juice in it try that or get some jump leads of another motor and then try fob
