I have a 45 mile run along fantastic mostly empty roads to work...and this morning I brought the Griff for the first time 
This could become an expensive habit!
BUT...
I did look a bit silly 5 mins after parking when someone said, "urm, is that your new car slowing rolling down the car park?"
D'oh!

Today Im taking the official role of office clown!
and of course having to explain that the handbrake is crap and its not just that I forgot to put it on is getting tedious. (and a bit obvious since its parked on a hill and would have been long gone if it wasnt on at all)

count yourself lucky, the handbreak in that car works very well, especially compared to my new cerb
If it has started to slacken off a bit, jack the rear drivers side up, remove the wheel and look up towards the diff. There is a large nylon locking nut/adjuster. You can use this to adjust the handbreak.
I would agree with other comments thought, that if the car is on any form of slope the car should be left in grear.

First rule with ANY car always part in gear. If you've been driving spirtitedly and have heat in the rear discs when the cool down the handbrake loosens off.
Glad there was no harm done.
I normally do no spirited driving in the last 5 mins of driving be the engine blown on or not. BUT this alone is obviously not good enough for the Griff then!
I did fully intend to park in gear but I was so busy thinking "no dont get out and trip up and look a real plum" that I clear forgot. Well, that and looking for the widest parking place. Someone still parked tight against me though :angry:
All adds to the experience anyway!
Ive also noticed that when I left the hood down in the car park it clouded over. Now I have put the hood up its clear blue skies! Rest assured, those in Hampshire, that I will leave the hood up till 3 PM so dont expect any rain till then

Just re-read your post FISH. I didnt realise that was the reason for not putting the hand brake on after spirited driving, I always thought that it was because it would sieze on due to the heat. Your explaination makes more sense though. Thanks

better do, mine is sat outside in work car park topless
Both good. Might do A339-A32 on the way home.
But the best route for real genuine twisties is
- A30/A33 B/stoke to Winch. (Long clear straights for a good blast)
- Little back road that goes through Morestead to Droxford (ultimate twisties with some passable straights).
- A32 Droxford to Fareham. (but a mere short blast)
SHHHHHHHH! Dont tell anyone! Thats my secret route to work and its nice and quiet!
D'oh! Just realised, got to go to Micheldever tyres for new boots! (Whole reson for bringing car to work today!)
