Guys

What do you consider essential as options on a 360 spider ?

Also which aftermarket exhaust would you recommend, Capristo, nouvalari, Tubi ?

Any advice appreciated

I had a Tubi on mine and loved it. Options are so subjective but I went for front and rear CS grills. It came with the 6 CD changer which is a waste of time as the best music comes from behind the cabin! Lots of people like the shields but personally I am not fussed. I am probably the wrong person to reply as I would rather go for the best quality car I can find and look at the options as a bonus if I like them.

Yep pretty much agree with this, none of the options are really 'essential'. I think the challenge rear grill is a great addition and xenon lights help if you do any form of night driving, but both of those can be changed/upgraded on a car without them; so I would buy the best condition car you can get your hands on.

Good luck with the search....I miss mine like crazy!

For me it was Shields as they are difficult and expensive to retrofit!! However I'm not sure there are any "must haves". Better to get a good car in a resale colour (red or black) with good history.

Shields are a must for me, plus an uprated exhaust, I have a Tubi. Check it has a full tool kit and three keys, 430 wheels look good as do the race seats.

This.

any other options are not important at all.

the only real decisions you need to make are the gearbox and the colour.

the exhaust and grills are retrofit.

F1 or manual ?

I know the F1 in the F355 wasn't great hence I have a manual but is it much better in a 360 or is manual still the best route to go.

I'm told if I go F430 F1 is the way to go as it was a marked improvement

360 F1/manual debate will go on forever!!

It's personal preference; you need to drive both.

In the end I thought both had pros and cons and I just went for the best car irrelevant of gearbox which ended up being a manual 360.

On the 430 it is apparently a different story and f1 is best but I havent driven one so can't comment.

With the amount of money you have spent on that couldn't you upgrade to F430 ?

Do you ever see yourself getting the money back or do you just not care as it is a keeper ?

I've generally changed my high perfomance/ supercars cars every 18 months and obviously lost a fortune. My next strategy has to be find the right spec F430 as a long term keeper

Not really re the money, but i dont care too much .. it was a project done for my taste and nothing else. I would sell for what its cost me (infact i advertised a while ago), otherwise a keeper for the forseeable.

I dont see the 430 as an upgrade (i had one), its more a different car. I enjoyed my 2 stradales and my first 360 spider and wanted to create a car that ticked all that these cars had to offer.

Good luck in your search, you'll lose a packet on your 'keeper' though winksmile

When I got my 360 - it had to be a black spider, late car (05), carbon backed sports seats and shields .....

I added the 19" Stradale wheels , Tubi-Decat and lowered it to Stradale ride height and got the geo sorted .

Next steps probably what Rob Hudson has done with his stunning car
