Mentioning the 'other place'....

I know this surfaces from time to time but I still don't get it.
I wont mention it by name, becasue it will get this thread deleted, but whats with the deleting of any mention of the other forum that a lot of Phers also frequent?
Loads of people use both and I feel absolutely certain that PH doesn't lose one iota of traffic to that site.
Further, links to here can be regularly found on there thus it seems really childish to delete them all the time.
Why do you do it?
Further- why single out that particular site to not allow mention of.
I find it utterly bizarre.

No fallout as such no. I would say that 90% of the posters also post on here, including the owners of the site thus it just doesnt make sense

From what I've been told, posting links is a no-no and in fact links to other forums are routinely removed by PH which as their policy is fair play.

It would be helpful to know if there's also an embargo on mentioning it at all.

Not at all. It was born of the need to discuss computer game strategy away from prying eyes. PH wouldn't let us have a slot. Necessity is the mother of invention...

No, it wasn't

It was set up to discuss a computer game we were playing as PH didnt have capacity to give us a private forum.

It grew from the due to banned members being there already.
