Kit cars in the snow? Who's braved the elements?
Discussion
I was supposed to be taking the Furore F1 for its DVLA inspection at Chelmsford on Tuesday (about 10 miles away)- woke to a couple of inches of snow & thought "sod it" but I was still going to drive it there & back! By the time I was due to go, we'd cleared the drive, but the road was 6" deep! Reversed down the drive & it promptly buried itself - no chance of going anywhere, took me about an hour to get back up the drive (it is steep!)& back in the garage. However I am very glad I never made it as the local roads were all grid locked & the jam from Chelmsford back to Benfleet took hours to clear I'd probably have died of hypothermia!!! I now have another test booked for next Tuesday - lets hope for no more snow!
My Mojo gets used all year round, and has been in service every weekday during the snowy spell. Admittedly we're not that snowed under in Warwickshire at the mo, but we were back in Jan when these vids were taken!

Thanx for that; the car is constantly evolving, I think it looks very different with the airbox covering the 2nd seat & this is a higher nose than b4, but was just an interim fit, we now have a proper high nose for the car & the front wing is a lot wider/deeper than it used to be. There's a few pics here

of a customers car with the new nose & wing. Only reason I was out with it in these conditions was because it was booked for its DVLA registration inspection - had to cancel last week due to snow, so was determined to get it there this time. Was only taking it fairly gently, & main roads were reasonably clear, but still got wheelspin in both 2nd & 3rd, good way of keeping me alert - not that I was falling asleep at -1 degree C in my thermals/jeans/overalls/one piece bike suit. Got tugged by the Plod on my return from DVLA (first time ever in the Furore!)"do you know your car has no number plates?" ............... "Errr, not sure, could yoou hum me the first few bars!!" He calmed down once I showed him the DVLA paperwork & I then got "so how many Bhp has it got?" followed by, "what engine have you got in it?" - I think our Police are wonderful - sometimes!

ks in the dry, looks great, drop top for the summer and 4WD for attacking the ungritted lanes in winter. Are you running winter tyres on there - how well does it cope?
