Discussion
The Ultima is on the latest driving sim game so while its parked up for the winter you can practise sliding it arround.
I have worked out how to get to it but slowly getting through the races for a play
Car available will be
Ultima GTR '00
Ultima Can Am '01
Ultima Spyder '00
Ultima GTR 640 '03
Ultima GTR 720 '06

I was wondering whether they'd include them!
I got the game, not that impressed so far but am stuck with the standard cars at the mo which seem to be a direct port from GT3!
Will have to see what the career path is for the Ult's - that would make it worth investing some game time in
...and having done so, I can't seem to Google anything?
Can you confirm how to unlock them Dom?

Ive been informed the Ultimas are available on a download which will be available soon...only 350 or so cars on your CD , of a total of 1000 cars they developed
Yes Im stuck with the standard cars at moment but there are a couple of helpfull options to steering you quicker... the delivery truck has some free cars to use and special events are easy money..
I also wasnt too impressed to start, but now I have my rally seat and Logitech G25 pedals and steering my god this rocks and the driving possition is just like in the Ultima(even got right hand 'H' patern gearbox....

If you want to learn Silverstones new GP track then F1 2010 is the practise sim for your planned track days next year..

Thanks Dom,
Interestingly, the factory had no idea that the cars were being included (if they do finally appear as a DLC)! Interesting one re. licencing for Polyphony
Still, I'd love to see them in the game. It was great to see them in PGR so I hope GT5 does them justice.
I think GT5 will be a slow burn. The standard cars are pretty poor and it takes quite a while to level up (have done the special events etc.) but once you start to unlock some of the premium stuff it gets much better.
Still can't forgive the absolutely tragic shadows and the unrealistic tyre skid marks.
Definitely need a wheel to make the most of it, but like all games, they're always a poor substitute for the real thing! Nothing can replicate the feeling you get in the seat of your pants when you're actually driving. It's always amazed me how we take for granted the tiny nuances that we instinctively feel through the wheel/pedal/chassis/ar$e when driving that help us make it round a track in one piece - still, much cheaper to crash in a sim
If you fancy some on-line sometime, just ping me your gamertag - mine's 'PHStig' on PS3 and 'BeeAitchPee' on Xbox 360

I have played it yesterday and i must say the gt modus sucks in my opinion, I do not want to spend the rest of my life in the sony universum.
In Arcade mode (select a car and then go) there is a quite limited number of cars and in neither mode I could find the ultimas ?
AND the NORDSCHLEIFE is missing, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh, so still have to play the old GT for PS2

hi
u will have to play a few games before being allowed on the 'ring' but it will be worth it..
The easiest is to play in the special events and merc training....section by section then a full lap.
As said Ultimas to follow in a download later on... Arcade is nothing compared to proper game and if you cant be bothered let the game play its self in 'b' mode until you have enough races undeer your belt
