Typical, just as I’m really getting into GT5 my ps3 stops reading discs, anyone had one fixed anywhere they can recommend?

The disc does not even spin when I put it in frown

I have found these guys - http://www.fixmyconsole.co.uk/ps3.php they seem to be offering to fix it for £69.99?

Thanks in advance

Nick

Not used anyone but bought my console as a non runner with that problem, got a blu-ray drive from fleabay and made it fit, no problems since. Drive cost £100 and was different to what mine (early 60gb) had. Did a bit of a hatchet job between the two drives but it's been (touch wood) 100% reliable

£70 does sound cheap though but temptingly cheap not suspiciously cheap if you see what I mean.

It does seem cheap, most other sites want about £90 to do it and the local computer shop near me want £100 frown

New blu-ray drive for £50 from jack of all games, 1/2 hour of work and swap it out yourself. Although be careful not to snap one of the cables inside like someone did on here recently. Mine stopped reading discs a while back and has been fine since replacing the drive.

www.jackofallgames.co.uk stock all the different models of lasers and have a chart to identify which one you need.
