Private Reg Query?

Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a private reg which I may or may not sell on. I've a got a couple of queries someone out there might hopefully be able to answer?
1. If I buy it and get it put on my car what is the fee for transfering to a new owner/car?
2. If I buy it and put it on retention is the fee the same as above or more/less?
I do already have a private reg on one of my cars but would never sell it so this query has never come up before.

£80 to transfer to another car
free if you leave it on to transfer to the new owner
£110 to put on retention for 12mths, you then transfer to a new car within this period free of charge - £25 to renew for another 12 months i think
