Has the stainless Daytona had its day as far as waiting lists and premiums are concerned? If so what's going to take its place? I have a 'hulk' sub (green bezel and green face), but want to keep this in as near as new condition as possible just in case they go up in value.
So what to invest in that will be a daily wearer and wont depreciate?
Looking to purchase in the xmas sales before the dreaded VAT increase, all suggestions more than welcome.

A used classic GMT, Sub or Seadweller should hold its value

SS Daytona lists continue.

Personally I think the maxi-case is a retrograde step, but if you like it I'd just enjoy wearing the Sub. In my view it will be many years before these start to appreciated. If you wanted a watch as a long term investment you should have looked elsewhere - vintage Sub or Sea Dweller perhaps?

If you just want another Rolex to wear daily that's very unlikely to loose value then you could do worse than a 16600 Sea Dweller or 16610 LV Sub

I largely agree with NeMiSiS. No point buying a watch you don't like & there are better investment vehicles unless you have plenty of disposable and REALLY know your stuff.

However, by being careful what you buy (almost never brand new), you can loose very little or indeed make a modest gain over time.
