C32 Gone in 26 Hours......is it a record

Put the C32 up for sale on Sunday morning and sold it by early Monday afternoon. Is that a record? The car is in great nick and runs like a dream but I am making room for some new arrival and so it had to go.

Thought it would take a few weeks at least - not complaining though and the guy who bought he loves his Mercedes so that helps as well.

Now wondering if the SLK32 should go or not as it isn't used so much.

I noticed your report on your Merc. I'm also a huge Merc fan, have a CLK320 and love it.
I'm looking for a smaller, more sporty car that could possibly be used for the occasional track day, and was considering the SLK 32 AMG. Do you think it will stand up to that, if yes, please let me know if you want to sell yours.

It took about 60-70 miles to get to the 32MPG for the journey. The first 20 or so were mid teens.

I am just making room for a new arrival I just didn't want 6 cars getting little use each really as the C32 was used for those motorway trips which is finishing at xmas. May well be selling the SLK32 as well as the SL55 does everything it does - saying that went out in it this morning and I still find it hard to believe it is 9 years old as it drives so well.

I think the SLK32 is a fantastic road car but have never been near a track with it so cannot say what it would be like. It of course has all the roof mechanism which pushes the weight up by a few 100 kilos so maybe not ideal. The brakes are very good on the road but again for trackdays maybe a change of PAD would be advisable. The other thing is if you have a rear end collisions they are difficult to repair as you have roof alignment issues to get right.

Have you considered the Crossfire SRT it doesn't have the roof weight or mechanical complexity of the roof mechanism. It has a huge scene in the states and can easily be upgradedto 400HP, it may be a better trackday car.

Never considered the Crossfire, just because I think it's incredibly ugly. I know it is built on the same chassis. Have considered M3's as well
This search started off when I decided to finally fulfill my childhood dream of owning a V8 Cobra, and then found I'm too tall to fit in. I'm also worried about the kit Cobras, all brilliant paintwork, but nobody really sure what lies underneath. I'm not sufficiently mechanically minded to build one myself.
