What....em, Mechanical i suppose watch?

Just got to thinking the other day when watching Watchmen and there's a bit where the guy who becomes Dr Manhattan is putting a watch back together.

So my question is this.......What mechanical watch, no auto's, but just proper nice simple mechanical watches, i'm not a fan of showy cluttered nonsense and seem to gravitate to something classic and simple

Quite fond of the Hamilton Jazzmaster or the Oris Date, but not sure if they fall into that category
