Whats the center dile all about ?

Why do some cars have a speed dile in the middle of the dash and some seam to have 3 diles within the one big dile ?

I think you mean dial.

It was an option on the R53 (not sure if it is on the R56) - on the standard car you get the rev counter in-front of you and the speedo / fuel etc offset in the middle. The option was to have the speedo and rev counter as 2 dials infront of you and all the other gauges in the middle - looks a little odd in my opinion. If you had navigation you also got this arrangment - but the sat nav screen sits in the middle instead of the aux gauges.
