Has there ever been or would there be interest in a PH golf day?

Seem to be more locally based calls to the tee.

Once i have a few lessons so i can actually play this infernal game to a suitable level(round in 28 over would be nice) and depending on whereabouts it was going to be held, then yes

I'm game, I'm not very good though. What part of the country were you thinking of holding it in? We could stick a few bob in the pot as a prize, get a trophy made up too.

There is a thread somewhere with a list of people wanting to play be I can't find it! There was quite a few if I remember correctly!

The sort of thing I had in mind was a fun days golf rather than a day to match The Masters.

No one would be excluded (apart from by numbers) and even if hopeless or a beginner there should be a place.

The key from my point of view is that players know how to play in terms of golf club rules, rules on the course and so on.

There are many many courses which are fabulous and perfectly suitable for such a day.

Now is the time to start organising something for the late spring.I'll have a little ponder.

Generally one can get sponsered prizes and bearing in mind the PH connection some form of car related prize might be good.

As we're all scattered about, let's have a PH tour hehe

I'd be up for a few rounds but I can't envisage it'll be anywhere near north enough for me to come along.

I haven't played in a few years, but wouldn't mind reminding myself how to swing a club again.

I'm up for it too.

As someone has already mentioned the original thread idea on this, i just want to add i think the problem there was where to hold it so that everyone could attend. If you can sort the logistics on this out (be it more than one golf day or whatever) then maybe this could happen smile

I run 2 golf courses in the Midlands and would be more than happy to help out.

One course Perton Park (www.pertongolfclub.co.uk), is suitable for all levels of golfers, plus we are about to have a clubhouse refurb and have an award winning chef !!

We have a long flat driveway up to the Club with grass fields either side and I was going to see if PH would like to have an official PH charity golf day, with a car meet as well on the fields.

You are more than welcome to play at my club, green fees are about £100 including ferry and transfers...

This is the 9th hole.

Ria Bintan, one of my top 5 in the world. Great track, hoping to get back out to Singa's at some point to play it again.

I am a member at Ria (and it's a bloody good price), if you make it out here, give me a shout if you want a game. I think JohnXJS has the odd bash from time to time as well, if his knees not dropped off again...

Was trying to book a holiday out there for a couple of weeks, wanted to stay at the Banyan tree. Hard to find a deal from the UK though, do you know of any local agencies that we could find a deal through?

Ria's just opened it's own golf lodge - not stayed there yet so can't comment on the quality, but they are doing some packages.

No idea on local agencies, but you could PM XJSJohn as he's been out here a lot longer than me.
