What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach...

So, you get what we had here last week.

AFAIK there's only one version but make sure you have a chunky memory card as without installing the data to the card loading times are pretty painful.

I had a 1GB which just didn't cut it so went and bought a 4GB and it's much better to play now.

It's alright to pass the time. No career mode and the dealers change every 2 races so if there was a specific car on there you wanted good luck getting it. The dealers do change in a cycle though so if you were to find that online somewhere I guess it's possible to plan ahead.

Driving challenges should keep him busy for a while (if that's his kind of thing). It's pretty much just arcade mode other than that and as you win a race on a track you then level up and the AI get harder. You can use the ad-hoc party software on the PS3 to play it against people online or if he has a mate with a PSP and the game then you can just play over the wi-fi connection.

I bought it as something to pass the time until GT5 but it still gets played every so often if I'm away from home in a hotel or something.
