The car, a V70 petrol has been pussy-footing about the last fews days doing short journeys on un-treated roads. I have just come back from a quick trip and blipped it to how easy the wheels spun to get an idea of grip. Engine light and ABS light came on. I plugged the laptop in to get codes, but only one code and that was for speed sensor A.
Am I right in assuming the Check Emissions message that was only on briefly was because the car is never getting up to temp? The check engine light went out after a restart.
The ABS light is still on, but I wiped the code. I assume it will disappear when I have run up to speed so it can do a self test.

Could be that the speed sensor reading from the abs is fed to the ecu, fault appeared, ecu wasn't seeing a reading and thus put the light on.

How's your car battery? Low voltage can trigger a Christmas tree of warning lights.
