Where/what to get 32 inch TV?
Discussion
We need to buy a 32 inch TV, before Christmas would be nice but could wait til after. I think we want 1080p but I don't know much about the technology, is it worth paying more for?
I'd been looking at richer sounds but their cheaper models are instore only, Currys had a LG for £329 which seemed ok, I wondered whether it was better to pay a bit more for say a Panasonic or a Samsung?
It strikes me that there is likely to be more discounting before Christmas rather than after so now might be the time to buy?
Thoughts and advice please!

I have just bought a Sony KDLEX403 3n inch TV from Tesco, reduced from 499 to 320 plus if you buy before Xmas eve you can claim the VAT back so taking it down to around 275. It is freeview HD, internet video through wireless LAN (dongle required) and is generally a good tv. I got it from the local Tesco Homeplus shop and when looking online it was 449, so if you have a Tesco Homeplus shop it may be wortha trip out.
Thanks for the responses, sounds like it's not worth bothering with 1080p then, it is for a living room but it's a narrow room so we'll be sat fairly close to the TV (about 3 metres). Might push the boat out and look at 37 in if 1080 isn't necessary. We're not great TV watchers and we're not likely to pay extra for any HD feeds.
Will have a look at Tesco, we're going to Bristol in just over a week so could go to the Homestore there.
