Wotcha.

Following a fairly unsuccessful thread on trying to find if anyone uses a portable RAID solution, only to find out that the one person who uses one (Cyberface) was using the one that I had found and liked the look of but was discontinued, I have two new offerings:

http://atlastsolutions.com/shop/product_info.php?p...

http://www.expansys.com/newertech-guardian-maximus...

Unfortunately, the Newertech one doesn't allow you to supply your own disks, but 161 quid for twin 2.5" 7200 RPM disks doesn't seem too bad anyway. Added to the fact it can power itself from Firewire (but suply included in case not) looks a pretty decent solution. It's bang up to date as well, while the atlast solutions one is quite old. The with the top one is that it's 42 quid, and I'd only have to put another 39 quid to match a current drive WD3200BEKT that I have. This will comes in at slightly less than 100 pounds (inc postage) for 320Gb RAID 1 solution. The Newertech one is 500Gb, for 60 pounds more.

This will prolly be a negative, but has anyone used either of these solutions?
