Thoughts on this F430 spider

I currently drive a manual, don't generally like autos I appreciate F1 isn't an auto as such, but if I was going for a 911 GT3 for example I would be going for a manual. However, looking into F430s and researching it seems the F1 is the one to go for. This car looks reasonably priced for a dealer car to me, and it has the carbon ceramic brakes option. Any thoughts?

I hated F1 gearboxes, but i have to say the F1 in the F430 is brilliant. Don't regret going the F1 at all. Don't know about everyone else but I love the colour combo, really classy. The only negative are:I currently drive a manual, don't generally like autos I appreciate F1 isn't an auto as such, but if I was going for a 911 GT3 for example I would be going for a manual. The car is at a Porsche garage, so it won't have a Ferrari warranty and essentially it's no different to buying from a normal garage

If you spec carbon ceramics can't you spec different caliper colours? So that would mean they don't have to be the standard yellow?
I await to be corrected though.
You could spec calliper colour for steel's too, black was the standard colour iirc.I await to be corrected though.

Yellow isnt standard colour for Ceramics on F430's. Thats just on Porsches. I await to be corrected though.
My car has Red Calipers... I might get them changed though as much prefer the yellow. Been quoted over £1000 though..
To the OP, deffo get an F1 box. I originally wanted a manual, but sooo glad I was talked out of it. F1 is very good.

seems to be at dick lovetts. why would they retail it from porsche rather than ferrari (as they have both)? maybe its on SOR for a customer
Dick Lovett Cardiff is no longer an authorised Ferrari dealer. I believe they've let the franchise go as there isnt the market in Wales.Beefmeister said:
FWIW, i really dislike the F1 'box in the 430. The manual is great, you connect with the car much more in my opinion.
I hate the fact that you can't have a 458 in manual flavour.
Cheers Beefmeister - guess I need to test drive them both sometime. Heart says manual, head says F1 for the 430 somehow....I hate the fact that you can't have a 458 in manual flavour.
