A dealer local to me has this for sale. A friend of mine has seen it and it has a proper history, and receipts for recent spend on suspension bushings etc. Heres the ad

"2004 156K FBMWSH MET SILVER ALLOYS CD A/C CLIMATE CONTROL FRONT AND REAR PARK SENSORS BLACK CLOTH MOTD JULY NEW MODEL VERY VERY CLEAN INSIDE AND OUT EX ENGLISH CO CAR"

It can be bought for £5500.

Big miles, but surely thats cheap?

Hiya

Doesn't say what size engine the car is...

also, the description mismatches a little of the pics, Parking sensors front and rear, but the car in the picture doesn't have them!?

Whats an 'Ex English Co' ? I presume he means it was a Company Car?

It is cheap for sure, perhaps hiding a few ailments too?!

Cheers, Dennis!

Great deal, but not for somebody who wants a £5k car. It's a good deal for somebody who wants a more expensive car but instead decides to buy that, because it will be expensive to keep going.

Not that this is an issue, I'd far rather spend thousands running a £5.5k E60 than spend nothing running a £9k Focus.

Its a cheap way into e60 motoring. I dont do big miles anymore - maybe 6-8K per year - so the upkeep wouldnt be too bad.

I see a breaker on ebay has a full black leather SE interior with doorcard, etc, taken from a pre LCI 2007 car, which would set this car off perfectly for £250.

Have to say i'm tempted, though gathering up the cash at the minute might be tricky.

Followed by this

Then this

Though i did quite like this of my wifes

Though this is currently our favourite

(fences up and gardens landscaped since then)

So we're having to slum it in this 2010 Prodrive Modded WRX-S...

But you're not a big fan of BMWs?

My only objection to them is the price you have to pay for the friggin things!!

Nice.

Was thinking of maybe a Boxster for the weekends when i get my finances sorted out again. Not new or anything, maybe down the money a bit and maybe get a turn at it. Wifie is looking for one of the new STi's but i cant see her changing her current car for a while
