Long story short, dining room carpet, drowned in dripping water through leaky conservatory. How do I get it dry quickly? I have tried a floor heater device thing and a hair dryer but at this rate its going to take forever and I really need it dry by tomorrow? Any suggestions, solutions???

If its a mega emergency get onto HSS and hire out one of these :-

Or even just a decent aquavac and a dehumidifier or an air dryer wink

HSS are open pretty much all the time now.

But expensive - try Speedy Hire as well!

You have to get air circulating UNDER as well as over to dry a carpet in any reasonable time.

Exract as much as you can with a wet vaccuum then turn the heating up. But it will require lifting and some attention underneath (mould etc) if it is a long term leak, I reckon.

most insurance companies will recommend and pay for a new carpet.... its almost impossible to stop mold and bacterial growth forming if its really wet.
