A daily for me would need to have half sensible running costs which rules out the GTR and the Aston. The Porsche is out as I dont really like the attention they bring and the Corvette (although quite nice) is not going to be a comfortable place to be for long motorway trips. Therefore the Jag it would have to be.

I love the 911 and the Aston, but I'd go for the Jag as it's much newer with lower miles and I'm sure will be a great daily.
The Nissan, whilst I'm sure it's a great car, is a bit too in-your-face for a daily.
Love the Aston but have to agree XKR is without a doubt the best "daily"The Nissan, whilst I'm sure it's a great car, is a bit too in-your-face for a daily.
If, as you say, it is going to be a daily driver then the Porsche without a doubt.
As a guide I took out a 550 BHP X50 turbo on Tuesday with around 6-8 inches of snow on the ground. There was no sillyness, no wheelspin, the thing just gripped.
With a Turbo S you could spend all Monday ragging the nuts off it at Silverstone and on Tuesday go to Waitrose in it, nothing will have broken. You can park them on the street without getting too much adverse attention, drive them in all weathers and still be a car capable of the neck end of 200mph. Point to point there is little quicker then a recent 911 Turbo (996 or 997).
