What fuel tank for a Griff?

I have a spare tank for the Griff but looking at it closely the neck comes off the top of the tank at the far left and on an angle. The neck on the one in my Griff comes out about 4" from the left. Are there different tanks in Griffs or differences between Griffs and Chimaeras? cheers, John. PS And Spendy, don't mention the cricket!!!!

The Griff tanks differ with the position of the sender boss. And some later ones have steel tanks.
Sounds like the one you have is from a Chimp......

Just noticed some different ones on ebay, they are advertising the one like my spare as a Chimaera/ Griff but I cant see how it would fit in the Griff unless there is a bent adapter to align the tank to the filler cap. PS both mine are alloy and have the senders on the top on the right.

Do you mean it would need a swan neck to get to the cap position? If so that's what I've got in my Griff and I was told it was a T350 tank, previous had split at weld. Only problem with it is that it can be a pain to fill at some petrol pumps becuase it doesn't flow as well as a straight through pipe to the tank.
