Classic, well it was bound to happen at some point.
Then a few seconds of dead radio, followed by a laughing meltdown.

I hope they leave it in the listen again.

I just wished the clip went on for a little longer. They were still pissing themselves as they introduced the news.
It takes a lot for me to be amused at anything before 8am on a Monday morning - this delivered in spades thumbup

I've never used this phrase on an internet forum before but that was genuinely laugh-out-loud funny. I wish I'd heard it's aftermath.

I remember Sir Trevor MacDonald getting the words "West" and "bank" mixed up on the News at Ten once.

What sort of fool complains to the BBC about that though?

Apparently yeah, he had to apologise to the people who emailed in saying they were offended.

Oh well - you'll always get some idiots who will be offended.

It was a total accident and I'm sure he was absolutely mortified.

Tried to cover it by a pretend choking fit. Or maybe it was a real one when he realised what he'd said. hehe

I think they were just cracking up, from cock ups (not on this scale) before, Evan seems to lose it completely.

they've managed to say it again. Andrew Marr repeated it while reporting on the earlier incident laugh

BBC said:
Later on Monday, broadcaster Andrew Marr repeated the four-letter expletive on Radio 4's Start the Week programme.

"We're not going to repeat it in quite the terms it happened," he told listeners, before doing precisely that.

After his error, he told the audience: "I should apologise for saying it again, but it's very hard to talk about it without saying it."

I can't believe the sad people who e-mailed him complaining . . . do they think he said it deliberately ?

No less pathetic than some on here picking out typo's I guess.

I don't know why there is such a big deal. It seems that if you beat someone to death, you generally get away with it. But say a "naughty word" on air, and the whole world throws their arms up...

Might be a longer clip here (haven't listened yet):

http://radiofail.wordpress.com/

That site has a huge collection of great clips, the Nicky Campbell ones are best, he has dropped a LOT of c*nts, you can really feel his dismay when he apologises.

Valentino Rossi also has something of a tendency towards "colourful language" in his post-race interviews.

Personally I can't see what all the fuss is about.
