Guys,

What's the Woodhead Pass like in these conditions? Got to get to Manchester Airport from Sheffield, but don't fancy the drag up to the M62.

Setting off at 08:00 tomorrow, is it covered in ice at that time in the morning?

Cheers,

I'm close to the airport - beautiful morning but the car says it's -4 at the moment and though the roads are okay there is still a covering of snow in places.

I'd suggest the Woodhead probably will be icy at that time, might be an idea to go the long way.

Thanks MV. It was -9.3 this morning at our house at 08:00. I guess -15 wouldn't be out of the way at the highest point on Woodhead. I'll go M62 (or the train).

Cheers.

woodhead was quite clean on Saturday when I passed,
just a bit of fog.
