Morning all,

I have a Kenwood KDC-W7534U in my Elise, however after killing the battery it's asking for a code of which I can't find anywhere in the history.

I've emailed the previous owner and googled it, but would have to pay £27 for a code to be sent to me.

I'm tight and that money could pay for a Xmas present for my missus wink so does anyone know of another way?

Cheers

Get your missus a new car stereo that she'll hate, then when she doesn't want it.......

Other than that, I think re-programming them (new code) is the only way. Have you checked the service booklets? Sometimes they get tucked away inside there.

If you got the manual with the car it should be in either the front cover or the back along with car details, i.e make model etc.
That's where we found ours.

Try here, but it's mainly OEM codes so might be of no use.

have you got a little purple button thing, about the size of a large guitar plectrum? My old kenwood unit had this instead of a code.

Your Kenwood is/was about 4 year or more older than his.
