Just found this in the loft.

We think it's 80s.

Can anyone tell me anything about them? Value?

Do you own one?

The face looks black in the pictures, but it's actually dark blue.

I can't seem to find the exact same thing on eBay or the like, certainly not with the mesh bracelet.

Sorry about the picture quality, literally just have a desk lamp and rubbish old digital camera.

It looks to be in good condition.
Does it have any paperwork?
Oh and have you checked the battery hasn't leaked!

It has never been worn.

My late Grandmother purchased it for my Step-Grandfather many years ago. He passed it to my Dad, who has never worn it. I hadn't seen the thing in my entire life until now!

Sorry to be a numpty, but how do I check if the battery has leaked?

The pictures are just a bit orange for some reason, but there's not much natural light around at the minute!

I suspect the bracelet ends expand to fill the lug width...

Anyway, you're going to ask its value sooner or later so providing it works, £100.

Looks fine. Take the battery to Maplin and get them to find you a new one. smile

What an incredible find. Shame the mesh bracelet is not original and slightly too small as the look really works with the watch. It has some real family heritage - I hope that you get it working and can wear it as a dress piece someday.

With a new mesh or a leather strap that would be just perfect.

Try the VCR or DVD player. Failing that, try the toaster, DVD drive and floppy drive.

Ha ha. My 16 month old son dropped my little bed side alarm clock into the toilet last week. Dried it out on the radiator and it is still working though a little unreliable now...

I have them back now. Seiko 5 secreted in his old cot, the (rather) more expensive ML slung behind the bedside table. No accounting for taste.

The IWC is well out of his reach.

The minute hand does not seem to adjust when trying to set the time. Only the hour hand moves.

The minute hand does move though, as when the crown is pushed in and the piece left to run, the minute hand moves accurately.

Any ideas?
