I've always wondered why you see racing cars on the telly with wipers furiously blazing. Do they not know about Rain-X?
I imagine they do use it. I use it on my race car but the amount of spray there is from other cars means you still need them going flat outs. It's a bit like driving in the spray of two lorries on a very wet motorway if the track is fairly wet.Zumbruk said:
Am I the only one who thinks Rain-X is terrible stuff? Once you've applied it, you have to use it forever, because it wears away and leaves the screen all smeary, and you can't clean it off properly so you're stuck with it. Horrible stuff.
+1 I've yet to find a decent replacement as the Rain-X needs re-treated so often to make sure you don't end up with a smeared screen. My record was one journey - admittedly it was 500 miles and all of it raining but the screen was lousy the next day.

I like the exterior stuff but hate the anti-fog. I tried using it once and it just made the view out of the window look like it had been cleaned with vasaline. Had my car treated by G|Techniq earlier this year, and they applied their G1 coating to the windscreen. Have to say I've been impressed so far, and should be good for 2 years

In looking for an alternative, this http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/engine-and-exterior/...
