I've just gone to book a table at Sketch in the Gallery (for the 15th) and they're fully booked, all they can offer me is the Lecture room. I'd really wanted the Gallery for it's ambiance so the big question is what's a good alternative? The pre-event I'm going to is on New Bond Street, so being close to that would be good.

Around there, and in a similar price bracket, I like Le Caprice, Scott's and Hibiscus.

Thanks for the input. Le Caprice was a v good option but fully booked. Scotts is fish based and she doesn't eat fish! Not feeling the vibe with Hibiscous.

Food at Hibiscus is better than the others mentioned by some distance.
Proper 2 star level, Claude Bossi is a very talented chef

C London isn't far. Used to be Cipriani.

I've always enjoyed it there.
