Morning one and all, just had a look on ebay and seen this:

its a throttle body etc etc take a look is it any good for an elise? guy reckons it kicks out some serious bhp according to the auction!! anyway guys take a look would be interested to know!...

If you're planning on taking your engine above ~170bhp you'll need a set . . .

They are commonly used on engines which have very high lift cams with lots of cam overlap, in this situation a plenum based induction system (as per the standard engine - single throttle body - setup) doesn't work.

Don't forget that in addition to throttle bodies you need a compatable air filter, and that some of these require modifications to the boot of an elise . . .

I would avoid. 185bhp from just throttle bodies and ECU mods on a standard 1.8 K series is wishful thinking! Outright deception more like. It's going to cost you a lot more than £2K to get you 185bhp.

Well my GF certainly costs me more than 2k...not per duty though...

Now the girl I met on Saturday night - she cost me 2.30 (b-breezer) oh and a cup of coffee...
