Starter button

Im interested in fitting a seperate starter button so i can crank the car over on the key until the oil pressure is up and then fire it on the button. This worked fine in a classic Aston v8 i was recently in but can anyone forsee any problems withthe alarm?

Is this such a major issue? Wouldn't have thought so if TVR Power etc can offer the long warranties using standard starting/ECU.

I wanted to do this as I just love a seperate starter button (more fun). In the most basic sense they're simple to wire in (just for starting that is) it shouldn't effect the alarm at all as the starter button will only bridge the feed to the starter motor, you'd still require stage 1/2 to get that charge.

On a side note though, you may wish to stop the starter button from being pressed when the car is runnig and damaging the starter motor. There is a how to out there if you search google for TVR starter button (chap with a Griff I think).
