I just wondered where would be the best place for insurance for Z4 Coupe? The current favourite is Admiral.

23yo - no history of BMW ownership (apparantly this makes a difference)

The Z4-Forum has a scheme with Chris Knott insurance. Can't tell you how good/bad/cheap/expensive it is, as they won't insure my postcode.

Current cheapest for me (of the ones offering similar 'benefits') is Bell - that's for a 40 year old male, driving a Z4MC, in a Liverpool postcode.

Try REIS.

I have my M Coupe and my Z4 with them.

Sticks.

I've used them for a couple of years. They were ok on price and easily accessibly by phone.

Try Churchill or Aviva. BMW do insurance aswell, not too badly priced to be fair. What did Admiral say about previous BMW ownership then? Don't recall them asking what any of my previous cars were when I insured my car with them a couple of years ago.

I'd forgotten that, it was cheapest for me one year.

Chris Knott is 25 minimum IIRC, I was too young for them when I had the Z4.

The Z4 wasn't so bad - try insuring a Noble or TVR when you're under 25 - that's when the fun starts wink

I bet. Was 28 when I had the TVR, but still was expensive.

I use Adrian Flux for my Z4 (and my Mondeo). Their price is competitive but what swings it for me is their customer service - you always speak to a UK-based human who actually carries out what they promise to do and promptly (e.g. email of docs for European travel within minutes). A few years ago was involved in a non-fault accident with a loose horse and they acted quickly to sort things out. You will find Flux's contact details as a sticky at the top of this forum.

I'm 21 and have a 3.0 Z4 Roadster. Not cheap to insure by no means, only company that would touch me is admiral/elephant ...a snip at £2700 pa (IIRC)

It was not too bad at 1600 quid a year but as soon as i declared my points its rocketed!

They also don't touch Ms at all.

TVR are easy i had my cerb at 24 and it was £580 comp with mannings as a club member.
changed to a vx220T at 25 that was ish £650 then soon after to an e46 m3 best quote i could get was £1360. how dose that work?

although i have heard that mannings have now stoped insuring under 30's on tvr.

the best tip i can give is to hunt out the specialist brokers (mannings only do TVR aston and porsche i believe)

when i moved to the VX they said as your with us we will quote but we dont think it will be competitive. was just over 2k.
