Hi,
A couple of years ago on Top Gear there was a feature where the guys had to do some work on their cars in preparation for a challenge.
If I remember rightly Hammond used some kind of pay-as-you-go workshop facility with a hydraulic lift and access to tools, etc., the idea being you can book a slot and do some work on your own car.
Does anyone remember the name of this firm, or of firms that offer the same service? Stretching it too far probably, does anyone do this in the North/North West?
Cheers
Al

Eta; the site seems to be having issues and I'm not sure if they have expanded to where you live. But those are the guys used on TV.

Brilliant, thanks.
Did a quick search for self service garages in Blackburn, it turned up Autopia Service Centres (http://www.autopiaservicecentres.co.uk) in Darwen, Lancashire.
Thanks again, may try this out as my garage is both too small, too cold, has no power and is half a mile away from the house!

that's the one.

I currently rent some space in a warehouse near openshaw, which is dirt cheap, very spartan but dry and has power, if you're interested.

Thanks for the info - I may take you up on that but I think it's the hydraulic lifts that I want, got various bits to do under the car. I've got basic ramps but they don't get the car up very high.

I'd keep away from that site for a little while - it's been h4x0r3d.

I hear they let Julian Assange change the oil on his Saab there.
