insurance company recommendations please

I see a lot of threads ranting about insurance costs but don't see many recommendations

Well now my renewal is coming up they want £1800 instead of 700 odd quid! been trying various places and have got it down to 960 with A plan but thought i'd see if there's any companies i've missed out on.

friendly to mods would be a good start as well

oh, just to add, currently with adrian flux and i've had quotes from a couple of compare websites, chris knott, LV, elephant, and bell. any suggestions?

Have you tried any of the insurance comparison sites, or is that too simple?

blimey! i thought i had farted or something!

i've tried two comparison websites as already mentioned above and a few other companies. just thought there's be suggestions on who people have had some joy out of.

will send a PM to ash although i don't hold much hope but thanks for the suggestion.

See thats the thing, everyones more than happy to come on and moan about premiums increasing, yet theres nobody suggesting anyone who can help. Also because theres a lot of different factors involved, what may be cheap for one person isn't always cheap for another.

Theres a lot of people always happy to slag off a particular insurer, yet i'm sure if you started threads on all the insurers, there would negative comments about each one.

ETA, Check with Ash your getting your 15% discount...
