1st year VED and used cars

a dealer registers a car in sept 2010 and it has say 10mls on it (ie its never been used) . if i buy it do i pay the "1st year VED" or the lower standard rate of VED ?

When a car is registered by a dealer (usually on the AFRL system) it is taxed at the same time. As such the extra will have been paid when it was reg'd.
