Hi All,

Well someone’s got to do it and it looks like it will be me! After stuffing yourself with beers/turkey, watching crap TV and making smalltalk with elderly relatives all Christmas weekend why not get yourself down to Teamsport’s kart circuit in Crawley for some excellent kart racing? It is scheduled for Monday Dec 27th 2.45pm onwards at their excellent indoor, twin level track (visit their site for more details).

Cost is £44.95 for practice, 4 heats of 4 laps, 5 lap semi-finals and a 6 lap final.

I am throwing this open to people in the big car clubs too and there are limited places available. If you want to go email me at frimley111r@yahoo.co.uk. First come first served (although there’ll be a reserves list too). Assuming enough people then the next stage will be to pay me/teamsport. Please only put your name down if you really area coming along. I’ve provisionally booked the track and as long as we get over 16 people (hopefully a lot more) it’s a ‘go-er’.

Ok, enough from me, get emailing now!!!!

I have set up this microsite to put all the names in centrally too: www.christmaskarting.webs.com

Thanks All

Ross

PS: Any friends/colleagues who would like to come are your responsibility but otherwise the more the merrier

Not to be a killjoy, but this track is the slippiest Ive ever driven on, its shiny slippery surface makes the kart slow and unresponsive, the only reason I see they have done this is to save tyre wear so they dont have to replace tyres as often. Coupled with the fact they wave red flags and 'slow' signs every 30 seconds, it really hampers the whole idea of karting. Luckily we got half our money back but it isnt somewhere I would recommend.

However, I would recommend Q Leisure in Henfield, good outdoor track with proper karts and very grippy surface, much better value, and no overzealous marshels slowing you down.

Totally disagree, this is the best indoor karting I have done. When I went about 6 weeks back I thought it was excellent! I don't know when you visited but remember it is really new still!

I do like this track.

May pop along with a friend, will speak to him at the weekend & see if the dates suits and let you know.

Hi All,

Had a lot of interest but not quite enough names and so had to cancel. Perhaps I was bieng a bit optimiistic with the timing but I thought that after 2 days of Christmas TV and food it would be a nice change (also, as everyone is off). I'll rearrange for Feb/March.

Thanks

Ross
