Black ops in 3D

Hi, my question is.. what xbox would you need to play BOPS in 3D, would any xbox 360 be suitable or would you need one with a HDMI output??

Can't comment on the BO 3D question, but to clarify: every Xbox 360 has HDMI.

Not knowing exactly, i would say that HDMI would be a must for best graphics

Ok, I looked into it and from what I understand only the first-year released "core" version doesn't have HDMI? (though HD support trough VGA?)

So anything after 2006 would have HDMI?

So you should be able to play in 3D on any newish xbox (TV permitting), Has anybody tried it yet??

One of mine's a few years old - I believe one of the first which don't need the silly MS-only HDMI cable or something.

I just set it to stereoscopic 3D mode in-game. Other than that a 3D telly is all you need

The first Xbox360 does not have HDMI unfortunately.

however the original xboxes can still output in HighDef (720p) via an additional Component (RGB) cable (plugged in the back had RGB for video feed, and optical for 5.1 audio)

On a 720p TV there is no visible difference between component and hdmi (ive tried my original and my elite in the lounge on a 42" panny 720p, both look identical/superb)

i would guess you'll only see the difference on a 1080p tv but ive not bothered to try my old xbox on my tv with that resolution.

Slighly off topic, but we did this on the ps/3 the other night ... once you get used to the depth and sort out the ghosting issues. it's brill

tbh thats more on topic for me, a friend has bought himself a 3DTV, and I was just wondering how it would be playing it. Thanks for your input
