Thought i'd get round to doing this now I have owned a few cars.
Started off with a 1.4 Clio RT (No Pics) which was a good little first car. Also made a fiver on this but was not exactly exciting with 75bhp.
I then brought the Rallye after seeing one when i was 15 and i knew i'd always want one.
The Rallye was a beaut and only had 70k on the clock and nearly totally original apart from the lowering springs and alloys. I managed to source some nice steels and just left it at that with a few audio enhancements (1 speaker increased to 2!). You could drive that car at 10/10ths all the time and it would love you for it, i recommend this car to anyone!

That was then sold after a year as I (thought I) wanted a faster/more comfortable car and the image of the Rallye was annoying me when talking to non car people!
I then picked up a 172 Clio which turned out to be a piece of crap as the dampers were screwed and handled like a boat, so managed to loose £500 in a week on that as i then px'd it in for a low mileage 182.
I've had the 182 over a year now and apart from the Cambelt change and 1 snapped spring its been very reliable, comfortable and quick when needed. Still miss the rawness of the Rallye so am thinking of getting an S1 Rallye with the GTI engine in it next with a shed for a daily drive but not too sure atm.

Yeah just had a quick gander and it looks smart. VTS's are bloody good value for money over the 106 GTI so I dont blame you going down that route. Was thinking of a VTS or GTI when i got the Rallye but insurance was too much at the time. What do you think to my VTS?Danny
I agree with these sentiments - owning a 182 after owning a 106 is a good step up I reckon but there isn't that raw/go cart experience. Plus I do miss the ability to service the tu 8v engine with miles of room in the bay as even doing the cambelt only takes about 45 minutes on one! Any one know the 16v like to work as I wouldnt mind an old vts/gti to play with when the outdoor temps get above minus figures.
