Rough cost for this.. Joinery related
Discussion
Ok the misses is complaining we don't have enough wardrobe space, we've currently got a built in wardrobe in each of two bedrooms, which back onto each other.
What we'd like to do is knock down the wall in-between, to give bedroom one, a large wardrobe the length of the wall, and close up the wardrobe in bedroom two. If that makes sense?
What would a joiner charge for this? Roughly?

a joiner won't knock a wall down. if they say they will, don't trust them.
if it isn't load bearing, it'll be just the cost of constructing the wardrobe. i can't estimate costs as i have no idea what material you want [mdf or mahogany] or how big it is.
if the wall is load bearing you can add a few hundred for an rsj fitting, and add fees for re-routed plumbing if there are any pipes in the wall. a good builder can tell you whether it is load bearing or not
as is always the case using the internet for building quotes, it's a case of how long is a piece of string?

Hi Justin, I have a bespoke cabinet business, give me an idea of what the wardrobes are going to be like and size and I'll give you a rough idea of what I'd charge, my websites in my profile.
