Hi All,

I haven’t bothered updating or posting anything on here for quite a while, most of the time I spend lurking and reading other peoples posts but I thought I would share the latest edition to my limited fleet.

Back last summer I bought a 118 (diesel, sorry) but knew that it would be next to useless in the snow and bad weather that everyone was warning was going to get us this year, how right they were, so last summer I started hunting for a cheep, or rather very cheep 4X4 to get me to work and back, this Fourtrack just seemed to fall into my hands because the guy I bought it off had to get rid as he needed the space, he had replaced the front panel and both wings, fitted a new exhaust and new clutch as well as giving it a good going over and sticking 12 months MOT on it seemed rude no to take it off his hands.

So far this has proved invaluable with the salt and rubbish on the roads at the moment I haven’t used the 1 series for the past three weeks!

Anyway, here are some pictures of the old girl in all her majesty:

I wouldn’t be going down here in the BM, as with the rest of the country that was just sheet ice on the road, I think I would have swapped ends several times over trying to get down there.

And that how it was when I first looked at it, stuck up on a ramp where it had been for the last three years to get it out of the way!

While I’m rattling on I will bore you more with some more pictures of the rest of the fleet:

My daily is this 118d

This replaced a Fabia vRS that I ran around in for three years, this is a lot more relaxed than that was but I did start to drive it like I stole it, things weren’t looking good for my licence, this is a lot more refined, the looks are a matter of taste I suppose laugh

Finally there is my ‘ornament’ or ‘Christine’ as my other half calls it because she hates it with a passion, she thinks I lavish more care and attention on this than I do her, oops, hang on, I do, that sits in the garage, bought from the dealer pre registered and still only very low miles, less than 5000 so far, but its my toy, you’ve got to have one otherwise life gets boring rolleyes

Anyway, thanks for reading my drivel.

Cheers, Mike D

I know loads of other people on here hate them, but I really like the proportions of the 1-series. I've even grown to rather like they're styling, especially with the M-Tech kit on. A set of CSL wheels would really let it off lovely wink
